I collaborated with several of my colleagues to research and present a variety of Assistive Technologies that fit in the Universal Design for Learning approach.  We created a presentation of these technologies and discussed some of their possible uses in a third grade classroom.  This presentation demonstrates my ability to understand and address human, equity, and development issues surrounding the use of assistive technology to enhance student learning performance.  Every student comes to school with different needs, strengths, abilities, interests, and experiences, and utilizing available Assistive Technology and the Universal Design for Learning approach allows a teacher to create the most effective classroom for every one of the students.
